Summary (23/10/2012)

At least 189 martyrs fell across Syria today, including at least 3 massacres – dozens were killed in the Damascus suburbs of Moaddamiyah and Douma, while in Aleppo one of the last remaining bakeries providing bread for rebel-held areas of the city was bombed, killing up to 20 people. A whole family was also wiped out in the bombing of al-Bukamal. The FSA continues to make big gains in Idlib province, taking over a number of isolated bases and liberating the town of Haram today. Meanwhile Assad issued the latest in a long line of amnesties, adding more thieves, rapists and other criminals onto the streets at a time of already rising crime and lawlessness and when dozens of otherwise peaceful civilians are being rounded up and arrested every day for their suspected opposition to the regime.
