Summary (19/10/2012)

At least 150 martyrs were reported today, mostly in Damascus, Idlib and Aleppo. Dozens of bodies have been found in the eastern city of Deir Ezzor. Syrians continue to take to the streets in dozens of places, despite the fighting, displacement and shelling while the regime is not letting up in the bombing of Syrian cities. Even the arrival of “peace” envoy Lakhdar Brahimi in Damascus today didn’t stop the bombing of the suburbs of the capital. Meanwhile, a car bomb in Beirut killed 8 people including Wissam al-Hassan, intelligence chief of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces, the most daring bombing in the Lebanese capital since the Hariri assassination. The Syrian regime condemned the bombing, but many people see them as the main suspect. See the map for more info.
