Summary (12/10/2012):

At least 80 martyrs have been killed today, mostly in Idlib, Aleppo and Daraa. Despite the shelling, fighting and displacement, street protests remain the live core of the revolution, with more than 400 taking place across the country today. On the military side, Daraa and Damascus Countryside are still under big pressure, with shelling, raids, detentions and executions. In Homs, under siege and shelling for months by now, the FSA has kept hold of Khaldiya and Qusur and believe it or not, protests also took place in the city. The heavy fighting continues between Ma’ret Nu’man and Khan Shaykhun, while further North the regime’s forces are suffering big losses. A joint attack by different rebel groups captured an Air Defence base East of Aleppo while the FSA has taken 256 prisoners during the fighting around Jisr ash-Shughour. See the map for more info.
